Wei Will Li
Assistant Editor Wei "Will" Li is earned his masters degree with an editing emphasis at Dodge College of Film & Media Arts, Chapman University. Propelled by his interest and earnest attitude Will received his BFA with top ranking marks and is proud to have earned the Dodge College Fellowship Award at Chapman University. Will is convinced that a filmmaker needs an affluent background and experience to create more intriguing works of art. A documentary film is one of these creative platforms to do so. Will is honored and proud to be working on the 26 Seconds documentary project. His intention is to become a great film editor in the entertainment industry. |
Alexandra Miller
Assistant Editor Alexandra Miller is currently earning her M.F.A. in Film Production with an editing emphasis at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, Chapman University. Alexandra received her undergrad at High Point University, where she earned her major in Electronic Media Studies, with a minor in Not For Profit. Working with companies such as Dollar Financial Group, Conn’s Home Plus, Milestone Environmental Services, and Not For Profit Model Farm she has used her editing and visual effects expertise to create videos and other content for their social media and YouTube channels. Alexandra is currently involved with Hope Skills Center in Zambia Africa, which serves to divert young women away from child marriages and into a bright future through education. |
Anthony Deng
Assistant Editor While growing up in Taiwan, Anthony discovered the joys of video editing and multimedia technology. After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts in film production from Chapman University in 2016, he became an online editor at Illuminate Hollywood in Studio City, later going on to freelance in post-production in the Los Angeles area. He most recently assistant-edited the documentary Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen (directed by Sam Feder), which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020.He is currently assistant-editing on a documentary in North Hollywood. |
Prateek Damodaren
Assistant Editor Prateek Damodaren is a cinematography alumni graduate of Chapman University's film school, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. He has been making films since he was 19 years old, during which time he was pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics at Delhi University. He has a passion for art, social work and philosophy. Film making is a source of satisfaction for Prateek and he has professional experience through internships on feature films and television shows in India and in the US. In the future Prateek sees himself as an independent film maker. |
Tess Martinelli
Assistant Editor Tess Martinelli was born and raised in Pleasant Hill, California. She is currently pursuing dual Undergraduate degrees in Broadcast Journalism/Documentary Film and Sociology at Chapman University. Tess hopes to explore the intricacies of human interaction and raise awareness about pressing social issues through creative mediums such as film and media. She is thrilled to be able to harness her editing skills while working on a project that tackles a global problem and calls its viewers to action and to give the voiceless a voice. In the future, Tess hopes to create social and cultural documentaries that have the potential to challenge our beliefs and mitigate social change. |
Bridgette Olsen
Assistant Editor Bridgette Olsen is a graduate of Columbia College Hollywood with a B.F.A. in Cinema and Television with a focus in Editing. She now attends Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts earning her M.F.A. in Film Production with an editing emphasis. Bridgette is honored to have worked on the 26 Seconds documentary project giving girls and women around the world a voice to be heard. She is also proud to be giving her talent in editing videos for the 26 Seconds YouTube channel to create awareness and a call to action on this horrific global issue of sex trafficking. |
Sara Nell
Assistant Editor Sara Rose Nell was born and raised in Oklahoma, but made the journey to the West Coast to pursue a career in filmmaking. She is currently studying at Chapman University and is completing her B.F.A in Film Production at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Emphasizing in editing, she has promoted her style and skills in several short narrative films and documentaries in efforts to find her editing niche. As a co-director and the lead editor on her most recent short documentary titled Your Friend, Ranger Doug, she further realized her love for editing and hopes to continue exploring the art of telling compelling stories. |
Ariel Becker
Assistant Editor Ariel Becker was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She then began pursuing a BFA in Film Production at Chapman University Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Ariel recently picked up a minor in television. She has been making films since she was a child and hopes that every film she works on touches someone's heart. Ariel is honored and [roud to be working on the 26 Seconds documentary project as an editing assistant and also with the 26 Seconds You-tube channel to help create awareness and a call to action for the HT Experts, NGO's and survivors that are featured in the 26 Seconds project. |
Ryan Shannon
Assistant Editor Ryan Shannon found his interest in impactful storytelling amidst of Humboldt County’s College of the Redwoods. He produced short, locally-based documentaries such as The Sequoia Park Zoo: When Conservation Meets Innovation, and The Golden Gait Mercantile: Preserving the Nostalgia of America’s Past. Ryan went on to earn his B.A. in Film and Media Studies from the University of California, Irvine, where he produced promotional videos for the School of Humanities under the direct leadership of Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, Annabel Adams. Today, Ryan is working toward his M.F.A. in Film Production with an Editing Emphasis at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. He currently is editing a documentary about recent Butte County wildfires produced by up-and-coming production company Babel Media. |
Elizabeth Martinson
Assistant Editor Elizabeth Martinson is a graduate student at Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. She earned an M.F.A. in Film Production with a concentration in editing. Prior to Chapman, Elizabeth graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in History and Archaeology. She is looking forward in working in a professional post-production environment in the entertainment industry. Elizabeth enjoys working with directors to help bring stories to life through the editing process and working to refine and craft the final film. Elizabeth is thrilled to have the opportunity to work on the 26 Seconds documentary project in giving survivors a voice and to help bring these stories to a wider audience. |
Xujing (Kelly) Feng
Assistant Editor Xujing "Kelly" Feng is currently earning her MFA degree in Film production with an editing emphasis at Chapman University, Dodge College of Film & Media Arts. Kelly developed her enthusiasm for film at UCSD, studying Visual Arts (media). She has edited several short films and documentaries in China where she was born. Kelly is honored to be working on this documentary because it is a great opportunity for her to express her thoughts on women's power, independence, and giving woman a voice. Kelly is also looking forward in finding her own voice through the editing process of 26 Seconds. |
Ni Chen
Assistant Editor Ni Chen was awarded the Dodge College Fellowship Award at Chapman University. She is currently earning her master degree in editing. Her passion and dedication led her to achieve top marks in her BFA from China. As an editor, Ni aims to use editing techniques to elaborate the story and make the film better. She is eager to be a part of the 26 seconds documentary editing team and to work with talented multicultural artists. Ni is also honored to give victim/survivors a voice. |
Zach Hess
Assistant Editor Zach Hess is an editor from Des Moines, Iowa, whose' found home in Southern California. He is currently working towards an MFA in Film Editing from Chapman University. With a wide array of media experience before focusing on film editing from 2018 to 2021, Zach Hess leads a staff of 15 undergraduate students to produce award-winning television and film content for Buena Vista University's student-run television station. Yuhan Wang
Assistant Editor Hazel Wang is earning her bachelor of Arts, in film production with a directing emphasis at Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Her professional experience includes an internship in Beijing, China as an assistant editor for the documentary: “Journey OF Warriors” and “Snow Dragon", and docs-series "Pandemic". Hazel also completed an internship in Studio LA as an assistant editor and social media assistant. She edited and translated screenplays for "Like a Rolling Stone: The Life and Time of Ben Fong-Torres". |
Nathan Slevcove
Assistant Editor Nathan Slevcove is an alumnus of Dodge College with an emphasis on editing. His first breakthrough came with the Anaheim Union High School District film festival, where he was nominated for best film of 2019. He is credited for editing short films such as “The Flower Girl” (2024) and “Das Sichere Haus” (2023). In the documentary world, Nathan has worked as an assistant editor on the feature documentary “26 Seconds: ISIS Sex Slaves” (2023). McKala Hansen
Assistant Editor McKala Hansen was raised in Austin, Texas, and is currently pursuing a BFA in Film Production with an emphasis in editing at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. She developed her love for editing very early on and has strived to work on films that focus on relevant and important causes that do not receive enough attention. She has worked with organizations to create films regarding gun violence, relationship abuse, mental health, and sex trafficking in order to bring awareness to these issues. She is excited to work with this incredible team on the 26 Seconds documentary project and continues to be involved in providing survivors an opportunity to speak out against these horrific acts. |
Madisyn Brillo
Assistant Editor Madisyn Brillo was born and raised in San Diego, California. Currently, she is an undergrad at Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts with an emphasis in editing, professionally, she has worked as a dancer, performer, and film/video editor. Madisyn is looking forward in working with the post-production team as an assistant editor for the 26 Seconds documentary project. And more importantly creating awareness and giving survivors a voice through the medium of documentary film making. |
Alexis Buggs Hodgson
Assistant Editor Alexis Buggs Hodgson, a native of San Francisco, California. From an early age, her passion for storytelling through visual media ignited, inspiring her to pursue a career in filmmaking. Alexis is studying for her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film Production, with a focus on editing at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University.
