Jürg Viktor Walther
Cinematographer USA Jürg Viktor Walther, grew up in Switzerland, fascinated with still photography. At a young age, he won a First Prize at an International Film Festival in Belgrade for a surrealist experimental Film “Weissenstein”. Encouraged by this early recognition he decided to continue his studies abroad in NYC, and became a Cinematographer, later he moved to study at the San Francisco Art institute, then UCLA and at AFI. He started working as a Cinematographer on numerous films by German director Ulli Lommel. Various documentaries took him around the world: Brazil, Nepal, India, Africa and Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and Lebanon. Jurg is also a full time professor of Cinematography at Dodge Collage of Film and Media Arts of Chapman University. Jurg continues his career as a Cinematographer with Music documentaries and Concert films. |
Nico Aguilar
Cinematographer Cambodia, Thailand Nico was born in Mexico City, where as a teenager he crewed on film school theses, commercials, and features. He worked under Trisha Ziff and Michael Nyman at 212 Berlin before studying at the Directing Intensive at USC School of Cinematic Arts under Michael Uno for a summer. He later began his undergraduate studies at Chapman University Dodge College, during which he was awarded the ASC Heritage Award, 1st Place Kodak International Scholarship Award, and had a film in the finalists for the Student Academy Awards. Today he works internationally as a music video, commercial, documentary, and feature film cinematographer. He recently finished his first feature film called Rock Steady Row and is in production for two more films this year. |
Alberto De Coste Calla
Cinematographer & Sound Iraq, India, Mexico, USA Alberto was born in La Paz, Bolivia and later moved to the United States with his family. In his home state of Rhode Island he earned his Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Mathematics. After a few years in Boston working in IT, he decided to follow his passion for filmmaking and moved across the country to study cinematography at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. His work has taken him around the world. Alberto has been awarded a student Emmy award and was deemed a Student Academy finalist. |
Prateek Damodaren
Cinematographer & Sound East Africa, Mexico City, USA Prateek earned his Masters degree in cinematography at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. He has been making films since he was 19 years old, during which time he was pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics at Delhi University. He has a passion for art, social work, and philosophy. Filmmaking is a source of satisfaction for Prateek and he has professional experience through internships on feature films and television shows in India and in the U.S. In the future, he sees himself as an independent filmmaker. |
Brodin Plett
Cinematography & Sound Cambodia, Thailand Brodin was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. His Father is of Swedish descent and his Mother of Chinese descent. As someone who has grown up straddling two cultural backgrounds, Brodin has a natural interest in telling stories that revolve around cultures' influences on human nature. Brodin graduated from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film & Media Arts. With experience in multiple facets of film production, he has worked on a number of independent films and music videos as well as creative and commercial content for companies like Yahoo, Blizzard, Funny or Die, and Whitelist. |
